Sultry Scale:
Derek Block needs to protect those he cares about.
Frankie Jordan fears the loss of those she loves.
Darkness drives them.
But could it drive them apart?
This was a good culmination to the Unblocked serial. Frankie and Derek are finally "together together" in this episode so we don't have that hot and cold drama between them. Some of that is okay but I am always happy when its over and the couple can start building something. And I really like Derek and Frankie as a couple... I think he will be my favorite non-paranormal book boyfriend of the year. He was a man's man, wearing flannel and working with wood, taking charge in the bedroom and being supportive when Frankie needed him. You can't complain about any of that.
The secondary storyline with Randy White plays out in this episode and its great to see that scumball get his just desserts. There were some unexpected events that took place, and it was nice to see Derek and Frankie support one another through them. There was also a little nugget revealed about Will in this episode that I was not expecting. So it was nice to be surprised more than once in such a short story. And the few additional tidbits we got about Brea made me excited to read her spinoff story (coming soon!).
I received an advanced copy of this episode in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author
Best-selling Author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Mann was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts sexy, titillating stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotion. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and their two dogs who subsequently have been characters in her books. When she's not nose deep in her laptop working on her next novel, she's scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling to new locations, and devouring fabulous books.
