Master Sergeant Pax Blanchard is my new favorite hero! He's a nerd in uniform and respects the female mind-that by itself is a magical concept! I liked his wicked sense of humor and dedication to his job and loved the way he never underestimated Morgan! Their conversations were never dull and the chemistry was positively scorching!

Dr. Morgan Adler is a very savvy blonde bombshell who's passionate about her work, trained in martial arts, and knows how to strip a weapon as good as any soldier. What impressed me the most was her maturity as a character as the story progressed. It was hard not to like her grit and determination to salvage what she could of a bad situation. She's also mouthy and stubborn but she knows when to admit she's made mistakes and make reparations.

And the supporting cast.. Bastian and Cal, Pax's teammates, Morgan's dad, and CIA spook Savannah (aka Savy).... I loved how colorful and supportive they were! I'm also placing a request for Cal and Savy to get a story-there was something about those two...

Tinderbox kicks off Rachel Grant's Flashpoint series and all I can say is WOW! This story was one heck of a ride! Grant's ability to weave real places with fictional plots, and write strong female characters, has created a captivating tale full of pulse-pounding suspense, a fascinating political atmosphere, and blazing sexual tension that will leave you breathless until the very last page!

I received this ARC from the publisher which in no way impacts the content of my review.

Recommended for fans of military romance and romantic suspense.

Julie is a transplanted military brat that now calls the Midwest home with her own romantic hero, daughter and two furbabies. While she toils the day away in a medical office, she would really rather be reading! Julie loves historical romance, steampunk, romantic suspense, military romance (duh!), paranormal and urban fantasy.  She loves a kickass take-charge heroine, lots of action, and the all-important HEA. Julie can get down with an alpha male, but she does not discount a nerdy hero with a sexy brain.

Julie and Bambi met at the RT Convention where they found themselves standing in many lines, sharing their similar reading interests, and fangirling over attending authors.
