He vowed to never fall in love...

Meg Anthony was never raised a lady. Instead, she grew up amongst grifters who used her unique “finding” ability for their own selfish purposes. Recently, she's been taken under the wing of the Duke of Camden and the Order of M.U.S.E., learning not only the fine art of becoming a lady, but how to use her extraordinary talent to help others.

But Meg's gift is a beacon to unsavory characters who would possess her.

Charged with her protection, Lord Badewyn knows—too well—that his wild, Welsh castle is no safe haven for this lovely, all-too-desirable creature. Part human, part fallen angel, he is one of the Nephilim. He is a recluse sworn never to love. As the dangers to Meg grow more threatening, he cannot help but find himself tempted beyond all reason...and tested to see if he has both a heart and a soul.

This third installment of The Order of the M.U.S.E. series has a unique twist from the first two books. This one has actual supernatural beings (fallen angels and nephilim) instead of the "mere" psychic abilities that we have seen in past books. I have to say that I didn't see that coming.

So this is Molly's story, our commoner who masquerades as a lady and has a unique finding ability. However when Molly finds, her soul leaves her body thereby risking her life. So not only is Molly in danger from her own gift, but she is also being hunted by her criminally-inclined family who want her to use her gift to help them steal. Molly is somewhat meek and mild in the earlier books, so I enjoyed seeing her come into her own in this installment. She was a bit more assertive, even flirtatious, and I loved that whatever popped into her mind came out of her mouth.

Molly doesn't hook up with another Extraordinaire. Instead, to keep her safe from her family, she is shipped off to Wales to the reclusive Lord Badewyn's castle. Lord Badewyn, Samuel, has his own family problems which led to him becoming a recluse. However he quickly becomes intrigued by the guileless Molly, who doesn't act like the other marriage-minded misses he has encountered. Samuel was devilishly handsome, and very protective of Molly. I loved his character, but I would have loved to learn a little more about him and his travels and history with his father, Grigori.

We had some Bible lore in this story, namely the stories of the angels who fell from Heaven with Lucifer. I found Grigori to be fascinating, even when he was villainous. This storyline beefed up the paranormal aspect of the series, and I enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing where Mia Marlowe takes us next.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Entangled via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
