No man can win her heart—until now…

In the Gladium Province, the boundaries between humans and Morgons, the dragon-hybrid race, continue to blur as a new generation surrenders to long-forbidden temptation…

Sorcha Linden does whatever she wants whenever she wants, and no one can stop her. Least of all a man. After all, they’re good for only one thing—warming her bed. But then she meets Lorian Nightwing, brother of Lucius. Seductive and iron-willed, he is determined to melt her emotional defenses—and warm her rebellious heart.

The beast within Lorian longs to cage Sorcha and mark her as his own. Forever. Yet the man within also longs to protect her. When a stalker starts leaving Sorcha suggestive gifts with cryptic messages bearing an ancient blood cult symbol, Lorian’s dragon side takes over. With her life at stake, Sorcha can no longer deny the love they share. But when evil tracks her into the night, will she be too late to claim it?

Oh Lorian, Lorian, Lorian - where can I find you? I absolutely loved this hero... and he is moving up in my book boyfriend collection. Lorian is a Morgon, a sort of dragon-human hybrid, and brother to Lucius from Soulfire. He is an extreme alpha male - his beast rides him and rides him hard. The dragon is always close to the surface. I have a soft spot for shifters that are closer to their animal side. Plus, this one apparently can give orgasms that will knock you unconscious. Where do I sign up??? And just how hot and steamy is this delectable dragon? Check out this passage:

"Kiss me." My demand was breathy and hoarse and ridiculously stupid. He wouldn't relent until I did. By now I had adjusted to the dim light. One corner of his mouth ticked up. Pure wicked lined his shadowed features.

"Oh I intend to." He dropped to his knees and lifted my dress. The fabric of my panties ripped, then he opened his mouth on my -- .
Lorian's fated mate is Sorcha, who I didn't really care for. She was brash and slutty... and well I would just be a better match for Lorian so I was pre-disposed not to like her. I do think she is probably very pretty though - I loved the descriptions of her scarlet hair and clothes. But I'm being a catty bitchface because she is not good enough for my book boyfriend, so she can pound sand.

I totally wish I would have read this book before I read the spinoff, Waking the Dragon. It has all the necessary background information on the villains that made me so lost in Waking the Dragon. There are stalkers and cults and blood sacrifices - all very spooky and mysterious. And I never saw it coming when the stalker was revealed. The whole suspense plot was very well written and integrated into the romance of the story perfectly.

I can't wait to see where else the Morgons take us!
