A twist of fate...

Devon Ravenel, London's most wickedly charming rake, has just inherited an earldom. But his powerful new rank in society comes with unwanted responsibilities . . . and more than a few surprises. His estate is saddled with debt, and the late earl's three innocent sisters are still occupying the house . . . along with Kathleen, Lady Trenear, a beautiful young widow whose sharp wit and determination are a match for Devon's own.

A clash of wills...

Kathleen knows better than to trust a ruthless scoundrel like Devon. But the fiery attraction between them is impossible to deny—and from the first moment Devon holds her in his arms, he vows to do whatever it takes to possess her. As Kathleen finds herself yielding to his skillfully erotic seduction, only one question remains:

Can she keep from surrendering her heart to the most dangerous man she's ever known?

I am kicking myself at the moment because I didn't write this review within a day or so of reading it. Now some 8 days later, I am trying to remember what I read and how I felt. Seeing as I don't remember what I had for breakfast, this is going to hurt my brain a bit.

Once she spurned the man…

When the Duke of Lennox hires Sir Brook Derring, England’s best investigator, to find his daughter, Brook intends only to rescue the lady and return to his solitary life. He deals with London’s roughest criminals every day of the week; surely he should be able to endure seeing his first love again—the perfect girl who broke his heart...

Now her life depends on him

Lady Lillian-Anne Lennox has always done her best to live up to her father’s standards of perfection—at the cost of following her heart. When she’s kidnapped and her perfect life is shattered, Lila has another chance. Together, Lila and Brook navigate not only the dark and deadly side of London, but the chasm of pride and prejudice that divides them.

I Kissed a Rogue is the third book in the Covent Garden Cubs series, which has followed members of the Derring family down the aisle. While it is not absolutely necessary to read the books in order, there is a lot of character crossover. (I have read the 2nd installment, The Rogue You Know, but not the first, Earls Just Want to Have Fun.) This third installment focuses on the second son, Sir Brook Derring, and Lady Lillian-Anne Lennox, daughter of the Duke of Lennox. Each story has focused on a couple where one member is seen to be marrying above their station.

Series Saturday Review: Hunter Series by Lexi Blake

I am a huge urban fantasy fan - I think I would name it my go-to genre if I had to choose only one. Unfortunately this genre is not as prevalent as the other romance subgenres so I am always scrounging around for a new series. Luckily, Lexi Blake has hit the nail on the head with the Thieves/Hunters series - I just hope the series continues on for a while. Most of my other favorite urban fantasy series have ended!

A New Heroine Rises...

Kelsey Atwood is a private detective with a problem. She came from a family of hunters, growing up on the wrong side of the supernatural world. Tracking down bail jumpers and deadbeat dads may not make her a lot of friends, but it’s a lot safer than the life she turned her back on. She was hoping to escape from the nightmares of her past, but her latest case has brought them right back to her door.

A young woman has gone missing, and she didn’t go willingly. When Kelsey discovers that the girl is actually a shifter, she knows she should drop the case and walk away. But this shifter was a sweet kid, and she’s in serious trouble. More females are missing and the evidence points to a legendary killer. Bodies are piling up, and her case is becoming center stage for a conflict that could shatter the fragile peace between wolves and vampires.

As the hunt intensifies, she finds herself trapped between two men—Gray, a magnetic half-demon lawman, and the ancient vampire Marcus Vorenus. Both men call to her, but when a shocking secret about Kelsey’s family is revealed, it could ruin them all. To stop the killer, she will have to embrace the truth about who—and what—she truly is.

The finale to Bear and Thia's epic love story.

I have come to expect one thing from T.M. Frazier, and that is to expect the unexpected. She always throws some crazy twists in that I never see coming. And Soulless was no different, there were definitely some W-T-F eyebrow-raising moments.
